Adding a Call to Action (CTA)
May 24, 2023The first piece of your material to plan is your Call to Action (CTA).
Every time you touch a home, the materials you leave must include your CTA. This is critical to your game.
What is a call to action? The official definition is that it is a “stimulus to do something with the aim to solve a problem.” Examples of calls to action you have likely seen somewhere before are “Contact me” or “Learn more.” You’ll want your material to inspire homeowners to connect with you. Your material shows them they’d benefit from contacting you. You’re providing value. For example, you can encourage them to call you for a free, no-obligation home valuation consultation and include your contact information on the materials. Even if they aren't planning on selling anytime soon, many people consider it valuable to know this information. They might reach out to find out how much their home is worth. When they do, it means at some point they might consider selling and you’ve just gained that connection.
Next to your CTA, your real estate marketing material must clearly include your contact information, including your website, email address, and phone number. If you want, you can also include your best social media links. You don’t have to include these if social is not a big part of your game. If you include social media links, ask yourself this. If a prospect looked at it, would they be more or less interested in listing with you? Only include it if the answer is a solid MORE.
When you are including all of this information, remember to keep it simple too. Make it easy for a prospect to reach out to you. The list of links and ways to contact you should not be overwhelming. Once again, stick to the basics. Don’t try to get overly fancy. Give them a call to answer and the best ways to contact you. Then let the rest of the material - or your at the door interaction with them – inspire them to reach out to you.
