ADVANTAGES OF IMMERSING YOURSELF IN A COMMUNITY

When you start door knocking on a regular basis, you get to know your target community. I don’t mean that you just start meeting people. You start to see the actual community. That’s different from just getting to know listings on MLS. When you are out knocking, you become familiarized with an area beyond the superficial level. You get to know the area parks, the street lengths, house styles and so much more.  Walking in a neighborhood regularly familiarizes you with the area on another level and it gives you that knowledgeable edge. This provides you with a great advantage as an agent.

When you focus on a farming area, you also keep most of your listings within certain areas. You will develop an expertise when you focus on certain areas. Your clients will appreciate your elevated level of understanding in their area. When you focus your effort in one area, it will also make servicing your client base more efficient. 

I’ll finish this video with a Caveat: Door Knocking is an amazing prospecting technique but it requires you to work. ​​

CAVEAT: DOOR KNOCKING REQUIRES YOU TO WORK

If you naturally enjoy making conversation, door knocking is a no brainer. It has all the benefits of connecting at the door and will quickly turn those conversations into profit-producing leads. 

If all of this doesn’t come naturally to you, put in the work. Chances are there is at least one area of the game you’ll need to strengthen to master the door knocking game.
