Forms of Rejection
Apr 28, 2023Now that you know rejection is part of the work, it’s important you know the types of rejection you will face.
FORMS OF REJECTION:
There are three main Forms of rejection you will face at the door.
Here are the types of rejection you can expect to face.
The polite rejection - They open the door and smile but do not want to talk to you.
- Quick goodbyes - They quickly tell you they have a friend who is an agent or that they are not moving.
- The irritated or mad rejection - They tell you, “Get off my property” or even curse at you.
Facing NOs is part of the work. And most of those NOs come from people who are smiling and friendly. That’s hardly a scary image. When you know the possibilities, you can openly face situations and strategize around them to move on. You don’t want any type of rejection to throw you off your game.
If you encounter any of these rejections, mark it on your map and move on. If the rejection was strong, you may want to mark to avoid that house in future. If you feel you might have a second chance after a polite rejection, you can mark it to revisit again after a few months. You can decide what feels appropriate. Polite and quick goodbyes might be okay to try again. I do not recommend re-visiting irritated or mad rejection houses.
