To set up your farming game, you need farming goals. To set your farming goals, you need a number to work towards. You need to have an exact revenue goal in mind. With this number, you can set up your farming plan, strategies and all of the steps you need to reach it.

When you choose door knocking as your farming technique, you can also use farming math to help you plan.

Here’s a look at Farming By the Numbers

FARMING BY THE NUMBERS

First, here are the basic concepts. 

Conversations lead to appointments. Appointments lead to listings. And listings lead to sales. 

With this in mind, you can calculate exactly how farming will translate into sales and help you meet your goals.

I teach agents to aim for roughly one listing conversation a week. As a guideline, you should aim to have around 40 listing appointments each year. I also say to aim for around 100 doors a week. This is an easy number to hit when you break it down. These numbers will make sense as we go through the math. 

This math is based on the rate of success I’ve seen with agents starting out. That’s why the numbers are conservative. Your rate of success will improve beyond this as you advance in your game. You will want to update the formulas with your exact rate of success. In Module 7 & 8, you’ll learn how to track your success. That will help you update your personal formula for calculations.
