Missed Shots Are Okay as a Winning Agent
Mar 11, 2023If you want to get stronger in real estate, your first perspective shift is not to take it personally. Your goal is to improve. Your goal should be to keep showing up on the field to play. When you miss a shot, you don't take it personally. Some of the miss shots have nothing to do with you. Only some people want or need to list their homes.
The missed attempt is different from what you should be focusing on. It would help if you were focusing on your effort to improve as long as you always get better. Great. You were doing what you needed to do. So keep going. When you're a solo agent, you may have a more challenging time with this.
Do you think it's always your fault and believe you didn't do something right? That's not the right way to think about it, in any case. If you go to soccer practice and miss some shots, you are usually accepted as part of the game. Hopefully, you have some excellent sportsmanship and move on. You keep playing. You don't go home and feel like a loser for the rest of your day or a week. You don't take it personally. You accept it as part of playing the game. You make some winning shots, and you miss some photos. It's all part of the bigger picture.
