Do you have an Earning Goal?

It’s time to decide what you will earn. Have you thought exactly about how much you desire to earn?

You need to set clear number goals in your game. You will use these goals to propel your farming plan and door knocking forward. 

SETTING YOUR REVENUE GOAL

In the last video, you were introduced to the basic math of turning door knocking into sales. Now that you know how it works, it’s time for you to set up your personal earnings goal. The 40 listing conversations suggested in the last video is a general guideline. It is meant to guide your planning. Now, I want you to go a step further and set your personal revenue goal. 

In order to start the math, you need to start with your earning goal. You will reverse engineer from that into how many houses you need to knock to meet these goals. How many houses do you need to knock at to meet your exact goals? It all starts with setting your revenue goal number. You also want to set an exact timeline for reaching that number, such as a year. Like in the previous video, you will state your goal as something like $400,000 in a year.  

After you set your revenue goal, you will set everything else to match it – such as your area size, farming frequency etcetera. 

First, let’s look at how to set your revenue number. You may not know exactly how much you want to make. Many of you just want to start “making money.” That’s a pitfall in the game. You need exact goals so that you strategize towards meeting them. 

Many of you will also have ideas of what you have to “have” in life. You probably haven’t calculated how much you need to have in order to get those things though. So, let’s do those calculations!

Make a list of the lifestyle items you want to have and attach each one to an exact cost. Want a certain house? How much is it? Want a certain car? How much is it? Want to take vacations every year somewhere? How much will that cost? Start adding up the exact costs in your goal life. This will bring you to a revenue goal. 

Another approach is to look at how much it costs to maintain your current life. Maybe you are switching careers. How much did you earn in your previous career? This is your comfort zone amount to stay where you are in life. But I don’t want you to stay where you are. So next ask yourself this: “How much MORE money would I need to upgrade my life?” Or, you can just double your previous earnings. 

Either way, be willing to ask for more. And then get ready to do the work to get there. 

Your number is very important. It fuels your focus in the game and helps you determine the levels you need to pass! Don’t worry HOW yet, just focus on moving forward in your game and on putting in the work.  In this course, you will learn all the important steps to get you there.
