The Team Agent Pass Off
Oct 02, 2022When you're knocking as a team, you need to decide how you're going to split any leads. If only one agent goes to the door who will be working in the lead? When two of you are at the door? Will you both be personally servicing that lead? Or will one of you be taking the lead and the other one stepping back? The pass off is not an easy part of the game. No matter how you structure it passing off clients to other team members has risks. If you're not careful about this, it can cost you business. I've lost many listings because of the past saw. I've also talked to other agent friends and they all have the same issue. They also admit is difficult to completely avoid disruptions to your business during the past solve. The problem is that clients don't like being passed off. They want to work with who they signed up with. When they get passed off to work with someone else on your team. They sometimes drop off. The best and only real way to avoid this is to prevent it. If you are knocking together at the door you need to decide who will be the primary agent in these interactions. You can also tell the client and the initial interaction, how the work will be split up on the team. That way they know who they will be working with when they list.
