Why a Door Knocking course?


Door knocking is timeless. Since the 80s, door knocking has been regularly used by realtors, and it has always been one of the most common techniques for generating new leads. Since it was first used, it has always been effective. We’ll get into everything you need to know about door knocking in this course, and a bit more about its specific history. What you need to know now though is that mastering door knocking is THE area to focus your real estate game. The reason why I chose to teach you this specific technique is that it is the most tried and true prospecting technique and most productive use of your resources at almost any point during your real estate game. It is what you want to master if you want to quickly and profitably level up your real estate game.

The people winning in this game are not necessarily the ones who are the most “skilled” or knowledgeable in the traditional sense. The agents who win are the ones who know how to play the people game within the real estate game. They’re the ones who know how to work and warm up prospects, and who are the most likable. People aren’t hiring the agent with the best ranking, they’re hiring the realtor who they like, almost as if you’ve become their “friend.” You’re approachable, and you’re familiar. And the fastest way to build that familiarity and become like that likable expert they’ll trust, is by farming an area and door-knocking.

How many times have you heard someone say that when they listed their property, they listed with someone they knew, or who was their “friend”? People say this all of the time! People want to list with someone familiar and who they can trust, not a name in an advertisement. And farming is how you plant those seeds and build those connections that make people think of you as that person for them.   

Door knocking can work for you in every market, and in any city. When you know the strategies and how to farm effectively, you’ll be able to turn your prospecting from a daunting task into your favorite profit-generating activity, one that consistently feeds your lead pipeline and that you actually look forward to doing.

The funny thing in real estate is that a lot of people seem to think that the route to winning is building their own big team or opening an office. As somebody who has done that, and literally paid the price of running an office and a team, I am here to tell you that is not actually the move that will lead you to profit the highest numbers in your real estate game. I’ve done the math. The winning plan is door knocking. The dollars in your pocket are not equated to your level of fame online or the size of your office. You don't need to do all of that excess. What does equate to profit is how often you hit the ground knocking and how much you raise the number of doors knocked. Everything else that might feed your ego or outward image doesn’t feed your bank account. Simply running your own game, and door knocking as a primary activity in your game, is where you’ll meet the most success and rise to the highest levels of your game.

Think of door knocking as $50,000 trick or treating.

The only problem is that door knocking can be intimidating if you are inexperienced at it. Learning the lessons and strategies you’ll need to get good at it can also take a long time when you’re starting without any good guidance. It’s also easy to run out of time, energy or money if you just try to trial and error on your own.
