Why Strata Fees Are A Winning Strategy
Feb 27, 2023Anybody who's complaining about Stratasys surely has never owned a detached home. And I want to explain why strategies are winning strategies in the game of real estate.
Are Strata Fees better to pay?
In your day-to-day life you have resources that you have access to those resources are your time, energy, and money. As a homeowner, when you purchase a stratified lot or a stratified property, you essentially get to trade only one of your resources. In exchange for having all the maintenance done to your home only one time a month, you have to expel a resource in exchange for that maintenance. Meaning once a month, you exchange your money to your strata company in exchange for all the maintenance to be done only 12 times a year.
Responsibilities
Now I want you to take into consideration if you had to do all of the maintenance to your property, AKA your condo, or townhome, or maybe you're in a single detached that's inside a stratified lot. Could you imagine how many phone calls and time spent booking following up and meeting individuals to maintain your property would take every year with a home that doesn't have somebody else doing your maintenance for you? You got to book your gutters a couple of times a year, you got to book your landscaping, and you got to make sure your roof was done.
There are so many things to do. And it is not only the money, the resource of money that you trade when you do it on your own. When you do not have a strata company, you not only have to pay the bill for the maintenance. But you also have to spend all your other resources on top of your money to get the work done.
That means you must spend all your time and energy on it as well. And as somebody who lives in a home that requires a lot of maintenance. it's exhausting calling people following up and making sure they show up needing them after paying them right away. So about six interactions with a company or contractor between the time of booking or locating them online or by telephone to completing the job and having payment exchange for the work done.
Benefits of paying strata fees.
Now when you were in strata, you don't have to do any of that. Quite literally, you don't even have to think about it. It's one less thing off your plate that you don't even have to think about. Someone else is planning and thinking for you. When people complain about their strata fees, I wonder how those same people would feel if they then had to pay for it. Plus, organize it plus spend their time headache and hassle, getting the work done each year and remembering to do it on time.
When you are in charge of all the maintenance on your home, you have to have a pretty good schedule in order. If you don't take care of your home it does deteriorate quite quickly. And remembering to do it all on time can be challenging for some people.
We're all busy in our day-to-day lives. So the next time you hear somebody complain about a strategy, you now know how to explain why a strategy can be a winning strategy in the game, and how it saves you resources of time and energy. You only have to pay the bill. You don't even have to plan it yourself or organize it.
To me, I think that might be worth it for how busy all our clients are with their day-to-day lives reading their families go into their job taking care of their children, I'm not sure that they want to take on that extra responsibility.
Real Estate Experts' Suggestions
Now sometimes people simply don't have a reference point. But once you have the reference point of maintaining a detached house all on your own, you'll suddenly appreciate why strategy isn't that bad.
